I've read many books from which the best has been this saga because of the all the excitement the author causes in the most important parts, the story has parts with a lot of grief and pain and parts with happy moments and make the reader want to keep reading and know what happens next. There is a movie about the first book which I didn't really like since it skipped and changed many parts, but I think that if they try to make a movie for the second book without changing many then it could be a great movie which I'd surely watch.

As the story continues the main characters (Four, Six, Seven and Sam) live through experiences that affect them physically and mentally, most of these experiences were caused by Mogadorians. When John's (Four) Cepan, Henry, died in the first book, Four had to survive without his Cepan, however he has Six and Sam. Six's Cepan also died and had to survive by herself before meeting Four. These deaths can make them feel a lot of pain and grief.  These experiences affect the way the story goes. It wouldn't be the same with Henry helping them, but he isn't there and Four must be strong and fight for Lorien and Earth with the Garde remaining.

In this story symbols have a great meaning, most of them are the numbers written in Loric language that each of the Garde have. The reason they have a main role in the story is because every time one of the Garde die then a scar appears on the others leg so they know who is next, they also have a chest (like a box) with many artifacts  which they have as an inheritance from the nine elders. As you can see these symbols have one of the most important roles in the book and the Mogadorians know about it. They know a lot of things about the Garde and know that the charm is been broken they must come together and fight for Lorien and Earth.

The figurative language in the book is most of the time used to make descriptions about what he feels physically and mentally.  These descriptions are used to explain the love John feels for her girlfriend, Sarah,  he also describes how confused he is meeting Number Six. He also describes the pain he feels when hurt. One of the main reason this book is so great is because it is very descriptive, making understanding easier.

The scene shifts in the story occur very often when the chapters ends. It causes the reader to feel some suspense when important  events happen and all of a sudden another character is narrating. It also makes the people think about what do the characters that narrate  have in common or what is the relationship between them or the other characters that appear in the story. These scene shifts make the reader want to keep reading so he knows what happens next after a big event from which a scene shift came after the event. After all this book is organized in a way that the reader is hooked with a very good plot and setting of the run of the 6 Garde left on whose hands the future of the planet Lorien depends on.

In this story there are two points of view  John Smith's (Number Four) and Marina's (Number Seven).Since these character's live different different situations the story becomes very interesting, because the reader wants to know how do their stories relate or will relate. And since John is now escaping from the Mogadorians and the police in the United States with Six, Sam and Bernie Kosar while Marina is living in convent in Spain with 36 orphan girls Karina (her Cêpan)  and a lot of nuns there is no way to infer how their stories will relate unless you read.

The whole book starts with Number 7 narrating how her life has been since the 9 of the Garde and Cêpan came to Earth and hoe she rememberes some of the other Garde whom traveled with her which is ralted to Number 4 and Number 6 (which appeared in the first book).  Number 7,also known as Marina and her Cêpan Adelina went to Spain at first when they arrived to Earth, but instead of hiding and moving so the Mogadorians didn't find them they stayed at a convent living with orphan girls and nuns. After many years of staying Adelina has ignored what she was sento with Marina for and adopted  Catholicism while Marina insisted to move and hide. The only thing she colud is to search in the internet for news of the other Gardes and finds how John Smith (Number 4) destroyed a whole school with his Cêpan, Henry, whom died in the fight at the school.

After reading this first book (I am Number Four) from the three that Pittacus Lore wrote for this story I felt that I had to know what happens next what happens after that battle.
So ypu can understand the story the planet Lorien from were two races of people live. Garde and Cêpan. The Garde have powers or "Legacies" like being invisible, having telekinesis,  being resistent to fire and many other powers,  tha Cêpan don't get to have powers amd have to protect one Garde. After being invaded by the planet Mogadore nine Garde and nine Cêpan escaped to the Earth before they were killed like the rest of Lorien. Now each Garde an Cêpan must hide from the Mogadorians in Earth wp they can return to Lorien. There was a course on each of the nine Garde which keeps the Gardes safe. Since each Garde has a number from 1 to 9 they can only be killed in a cronological order.

Three of them are dead an number Four is next and he must hide with his Cêpan with fake names as they have done for 11 years in another town named Paradise,Ohio where John Smith (number Four) meets his best friend, Sam and Sarah Hart, the Love of his life. In this town he starts developing his Legacies like Lumen and Telekinesis. Knowing that he must leave since he is in danger he decides to stay and fight which leads to Henry's dead and meeting number Six who breaks the spell and making the Garde vulnerable. Now they must stay together an escape along with Sam and and Bernie Kosar (a Lorien Creature that protects him). Now the only thing they have is hope and must durvive without their Cêpans and hide.
